About the AQUARIUM

With its foundation having been laid in November 2011, the giant aquarium opened its doors for the first time on August 15th 2012. Antalya Aquarium was designed as a center of attraction with indoors area of 15.000 meters on a total area of 30.000 square meters with a distance of only 70 meters to Konyaaltı beach at the heart of Antalya. Having been constructed in only 260 days, Antalya Aquarium has become one of the leading centers of attraction of Antalya with its entertaining food and beverage areas, indoor Snow World and Ice Museum with natural snow, the WildPark that offers a tropical adventure with poisonous reptiles, giant insects and colorful creatures as well as the Oceanride XD Cinema that will travel you around the seas of the world with multi-dimensional cinema technique.

As the best-seller tour in and around Antalya during the tourism season of 2013, Antalya Aquarium is one of the top five venues hosting the biggest number of foreign tourists in Turkey together with the world famous venues such as Topkapı Palace and Hagia Sophia. Having become an important center of attraction for the residents of Antalya in addition to its contribution to the brand value of Antalya internationally, Antalya Aquarium hosted 500.000 foreign tourists in June 2012 and 1.000.000th visitor at the end of September 2012 only 13 months after the opening.
